What is Threading?

Threading is a traditional hair removal treatment that has been around for centuries, first derived from the Middle East, China and widely used in Pakistan/India and Iran

All About Threading...

How does Threading work?

Threading may seem like a simple or primitive hair removal method, but experienced technicians make it work beautifully. With a piece of organic cotton thread, the threading specialist will carefully remove unwanted hair by twisting the thread and creating a knot along the skin.

This movement secures hairs within the knot and lifts the hair out from the skin. Due to its high precision and technique, which has been used for centuries, threading creates amazing and longer-lasting results.

What treatments do we offer?

  • Eyebrow Threading

  • Lower lip

  • Neck

  • Chin

  • Nostrils

  • Monobrow (Middle of Brow)

  • Full face (includes brows)

  • Upper lip

  • Forehead

  • Sides of face

  • Ears

Why should I choose Threading over alternative hair removal?

Threading Specialists use accuracy and control. Unlike any other hair removal technique.

We are able to remove fine hairs that are impossible to reach with waxing right from the root. As a result, you're left with a precisely defined and clean shape or clean face.

Threading is very kind to your skin than any other hair removal technique. It is very good for people who have sensitive skin, or if your skin doesn't agree with hot wax or chemicals near your eyes. Additionally, if you have skin allergies, such as rosacea, or struggle with acne or eczema, threading is a lot less harsh to the skin.

People on particular medications or with certain skin conditions may turn to threading to remove

their hair because it's gentler on the skin than some other types of hair removal. For example,

some dermatologists recommend that people who use acne medications - including Accutane and topical retinoid creams - choose threading over waxing because the thread affects the hair

and not the skin underneath.

How often can I have threading?

Threading lasts longer than any other hair removal technique. As threading pulls the hair out by the

root, it will last you longer. It is very safe too as it doesn't damage the skin. Once the hair has grown out of the skin, an iBrow Threading Specialist can re-do your threading.

How long will my treatment take?

Threading an extremely fast treatment. An individual threading treatment will usually take around 15 minutes, whilst full-face threading will take around 30-40 minutes.

Can I have a sample or patch test?

Threading doesn't require a patch test, as we use organic cotton thread to remove the hair. However, if you want to have a feel before making a booking, feel free to pop into the studio and we will be more than happy to try the thread on your wrist.

What is the minimum age?

The minimum age is 13 (under the supervision and consent of parents or guardians).

There are a lot of young girls now a days who are concerned of either a mono brow or top lip if they are dealing with slightly darker or thicker hair.

Can anyone get it done?

Yes - any gender can get threading treatment. Threading can be done to men's eyebrows too; simply to get rid of any hair around their eyebrow shape, get rid of their monobrow or just want to tame their eyebrows. We do also thread the top end of the cheeks and forehead for men, however, we wouldn't advise threading the upper lip or beard area for men. Anyone from any background is welcome at eyeBROWS.
